Saturday Change Of Plans

We decided this weekend that we’d turn Mommy loose for that antiquing day (you know, the one she didn’t get due to the fish) and the kids and I made big plans: breakfast out, walk around the the arboretum with Buddy, Chuck-E-Cheese…you know, big plans. Well, one down and two to go…maybe.

Once we got back from Magees Kim pointed out that the Volvo has a flat tire.

Great.  So I’m banging away at the keyboard while the kids moan about maybe not going to Chuck-E-Cheese as we wait for Triple A, and I tell them - its not you that suffers, it is Buddy not getting to go to the arboretum.  He’ll just have to do a regular around the neighborhood walk/bike ride.  Riding bikes? Not bad, but really, lets get down to it. We are still going to Chuck-E-Cheese, right?

Drive on that spare Dad, priorities. :-)

AAA really Jerry, you can’t change a flat tire? You might have to turn in
your man card to me when you come and visit at Thanksgiving.

we are going through the same thing here - our son has been a bear the past two fridays - the first two weeks of school as well. he has been disagreeable and cranky, and at nine, it’s just a few years too early to attribute to hormones. and then of course the minute he gets into bed and his head hits the pillow, the kid falls asleep in a minute flat.

    Elaine: Growth spurt?

Jimmy: This is why you have AAA, idiot.

I would understand if you were stranded on the side of the road
but you were at home. It takes 10 minutes to change a tire, Nancy!

  5. Jerry says:

Jimmy, I could pick weeds and break my back. Or I could spend $10 and use Round Up.
Believe me, it is the exact same thing with AAA. Call me Nancy, or call me Pointdexter… cuz I’m smart! :-)

just admit you don’t want to break a nail. Real men change tires themselves
